Hello!
I am a Registered Psychotherapist and founder of Pave Your Own Path Psychotherapy. I am located in the Niagara Region where I was born and raised. I offer phone or virtual sessions to teens and adults struggling with a wide variety of mental health concerns.
Therapy is NOT a one size fits all approach, which is why I integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities into my sessions. I strongly believe that connecting with a therapist who is emotionally attuned to your needs and provides you with individualized care is necessary to addressing your concerns and achieving your goals. I view the therapeutic process as a team approach, and act as a guide to empower individuals to pave their own paths in life.

My Story

As someone who has struggled with anxiety and disordered eating, I know first hand the importance of having a strong support network. I remember my first experience as a client in therapy and let me tell you it did not go well. Not only did I feel incredibly dismissed and invalidated, but also so alone with my problems. The idea of having to retell my story to another therapist with the risk of having the same outcome occur, felt terrifying to me. It took several years before I tried therapy again, and I am BEYOND thankful that I did because I finally connected with a therapist who I felt heard and understood by.
GETTING TO THE POINT...
Maybe you can relate in some way to my experience or maybe this is the first time that you have thought about reaching out. Either way, the steps that you have already taken to better your life deserve recognition. As a therapist, I strive to ensure that my clients do not have the same invalidating experience as I did.
